Prayer is an integral part in the life of any believer and as such, we go to the mountain to pray. Matthew 14: 23 “And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up on the mountain by Himself to pray”. Jesus also used to retreat to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray and as such, we go to the mountain, which is a secluded place where we can pray without any disruptions.

Matthew 26:36: Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go and pray over there”.
